Your work as a living library

Connect your favourite AI tool to a database with version control. Turn your episodes, videos, decks and courses into collections people can play, print and share. Every change is saved, so you can undo anything.

Any AI tool that supports MCP connectors can work with it. Our favourite is Claude, and we teach it.

Make your first card, step by step

What you can build by talking to your AI

A database with version control

Your AI creates and edits your collections directly: add, reorder, move and copy items, cut a copy before a big rewrite. Every save is kept as a version. List, preview and restore any earlier version, from the editor or from your AI.

Images

Generate an image for each card or episode in a style you set once, attach your own, or find public-domain images on Wikimedia Commons and NASA with their credit and licence recorded.

Example: the Rider-Waite-Smith deck, every image public domain and credited

Narration and sound

Turn your text into narration that highlights each word as it is read, or upload your own recording and line it up with your text so it plays the same way.

Video and podcasts

Bring in YouTube episodes with their titles, lengths and chapters. Store a transcript, find the moment where something is said, and cut a long video into clips that play in order.

Example: HOT POTATO, a film cut from long talks and interviews

One collection, many ways to see it

Everything you make opens in every view, with no extra work. Each example below opens a real public collection in that view.

Playlist

Full screen, plays in order, remembers where each person stopped. A Focus link keeps it calm for children.

Example: Royal Ballet and Opera

Cards and thumbnails

A grid of every item, to browse and open.

Example: the Sola Busca tarot, c. 1491

Readings

Draw cards or passages from your deck, the way a tarot or I Ching reading works.

Example: a reading from the Rider-Waite-Smith deck

Print

Card sheets, a booklet, a memory game or a storyboard, ready for paper.

Example: the Conver Tarot de Marseille, 1760

Course and tree

Walk through it as lessons, or see how its parts branch and group.

Collections

Curated paths through the same grammar: "start here", a short version, a themed route.

Example: "The opening", a short cut of HOT POTATO

Your data stays yours

Every save is also backed up as a file in a GitHub repository, and the format is open (Apache-2.0), so you can take your work with you: download any collection as JSON, or keep your collections in your own GitHub repository and connect it as a collection.

What is free

Your account, connecting your AI tool, every edit, version history, every view, your Profile and collections, sharing and community editing are free, with 2 GB of file storage. AI images, narration, lining up recordings and the assistant inside the app use credits at the prices on the pricing page. When your AI tool does the thinking through your own account, recursive.eco only stores and shows the result.

Connect your favourite AI tool

recursive.eco speaks MCP, the open standard AI tools use to reach data. Any AI tool that supports MCP connectors can use it, with the address below and your token.

Our favourite is Claude, and we teach it.

How to connect Claude

  1. Make a free account and open Account, then API access, to get your personal token.
  2. In Claude, add a connector with the address https://flow.recursive.eco/api/mcp and your token.
  3. Ask Claude: "What can you build with my recursive.eco collections?"

Using another AI tool? The connection guide has the address, the token header and notes for other tools.

Keep your token to yourself: it opens your whole account. To work with someone, give them their own account and add them as an editor.

Founding creators

We are building the next part with a few creators first: an assistant that answers from your own back catalogue and says which episode it came from, and guided libraries for podcasts, decks and courses.

If you have a body of work you would like to open up this way, write to us. The first founding creators get their library set up with us, in exchange for honest feedback.

Used only to reply to you. Never added to a list.
